Class 99

The first Stadler-built, Beacon Rail funded electro-diesel for GB Railfreight was shown off at InnoTrans 2024 held in Berlin, Germany between 24-27 September 2024. The loco, No. 99002, one of the most advanced bi-mode locos in the world will for the next few months operate with No. 99003 at the Velim test track in the Czech Republic, with the first loco due in the UK, based at Leicester, around May 2025.
