Rough Sea in Dawlish
A major storm passed through Dawlish during the early morning of 10 April 2016, giving some very rough seas, with waves some 200ft high at the height, raising from the impact with the sea wall, and flooding of the rail tracks and Marine Parade. Network Rail kept the railway operational and some spectacular images were possible for those to ventured out in such conditions.

For the first time since the green-liveried GWR HST set, LA15, was introduced in September 2015, the coaching stock set was formed between two Building a Greater West power cars Nos. 43144 and 43146 on Saturday 2 April 2016. After working a paignton to Paddington service and a return Paddington to Bath train, the set formed service 1C86 the 15.00 Paddington to Penzance, seen heading towards Kennaway Tunnel, Dawlish.
