On 2 September 2018, the steam charter from Bristol to Par (operated by West Coast Railway) managed to run low on coal in Cornwall. The return leg being steam powered from Par to Plymouth and then piloted by WCRC Class 37 No. 37668. The '37' was at Taunton having brought this mornings train from Bristol. Running as 0Z50, 37668 passes through Dawlish as the sun drops, en route to rescue the train.
