The Dawlish '60 Fest' continues on 29 November 2015 with Colas Rail Freight No. 60076 powering train 7C21, the 09.00 Largin to Westbury (running around one hour late) approaching Dawlish formed of 11 loaded YKAs and crane DR78325 coupled on the rear.
Don't get one on the Dawlish Sea Wall in weeks or even months, then you get two in one day. At around 21.30 on 28 November 2015 Colas Rail Freight No. 60076 plods through Dawlish powering 7C21, 19.33 Westbury to Lostwithiel, formed of crane DR78235 and 11 YKS flats. For the tech minded, taken on a Nikon D800 on a 50mm f1.4 lens at f2, ISO selected was 5000 with an exposure of 1/500. Lets see if we can get another daytime one today (Sunday).
Not an everyday scene at Dawlish these days, is a Class 60. So today (28 November 2015) it was rather nice to record Colas Rail freight No. 60047 storming west with train 6C26, the 10.25 Westbury to St Blazey loaded auto ballast set. The train is seen approaching Kennaway Tunnel. Pity about the light, but it is winter in the UK.
A nice bit of THRASH through Dawlish on 24 November 2015, DRS Class 37 No. 37603 plus cars 977969, 999602 and DBSO No. 9714 forming train 3Q91 16.57 Exeter Riverside to Exeter Riverside via Goodrington, Heathfield, Barnstaple and Exmouth.

GBRf Nos. 66713 and 73107 pass Hook on the up main on 23 November 2015 running light as 0Y62, 09.42 Eastleigh East Yard - Tonbridge.
Passing Standish Junction, south of Gloucester and at the point where the lines to Swindon and Bristol part company, Freightliner Heavy Haul Class 70 No. 70010 heads south on the Bristol line on 26 November 2015 in charge of train 4V09, the 07.29 Rugeley Power Station to Stoke Gifford empty coal train formed of 23 HHA wagons measuring 1,495ft in length and weighing 645 tonnes.
With 43126 on the rear nearest the camera in Bristol 2015 livery, and 43194 on the front. GWR train 1G21 the 09.36 Paddington to Cheltenham passes Standish Junction on 26 November 2015.
60020 passes Standish Junction on 26 November 2015 with train 6E41 11.35 Westerleigh oil terminal to Lindsey.

The train was formed of vehicles 6338, 40809, 42261, 44030, 42344, 42216, 41126, 42268, 42056 and 6330. Sorry about the light, this was the best I could do.
On 7 November 2015 Rail Operations Group operated train 5W56, the 05.27 Kilmarnock to Laira formed of Mk3 HST stock 41140, 40718, 42196, 42294, 42099, 42287, 42289, 44037 marshalled between barrier vans 6330 and 6338. Motive power was provided by UK Rail Leasing Ltd Class 56s Nos. 56098 and 56104. The train is seen passing Dawlish in the last drop of light, running 237mins early!
