Edinburgh Trams

The new 8.5 mile long Edinburgh Tram system, linking Edinburgh Airport with Edinburgh City Centre at York Place opened on the last day of May 2014. A visit to the system was made on 2 July 2014. The below images show some 16 of the 27 vehicles allocated to the system. The vehicles were built by CAF in Spain and are seven section trams. Each tram is 42.5m in length and seats 80 with room for over 250 standees. All trams are painted in Edinburgh Transport white and Rose Madder livery with a platinum strip.
