With Remote Train Operating Vehicle No. 9702 leading, 3Z52 10.51 Plymouth Park Sidings to Bristol, via Exeter depot (for fuel) approaches Dawlish on 30 October 2020 formed from the front 9702, 999602, 9810, 6262, 96608 and Colas 37 No. 37099 on the rear. Looked and sounded nice.
950001 heads towards Kennaway Tunnel, Dawlish on 27 October 2020 with train 2Q08, the 05.41 Bristol Temple Meads to Laira.

Following failure of the westbound sleepers from Paddington to Penzance on 16-17 October 2020 at Exeter the train was terminated and passengers send forward on a Class 158. The train was rescued by a pair of back to back power cars Nos. 43155 and 43153 which were provided by Laira depot. Running as 5Z77 07.45 Exeter St Davids to Long Rock, 43155 + 43153 hauls 57604 and the Sleeper stock through Dawlish.

It would have been rude not to have taken advantage of this stonking light this morning, 9 October 2020. DRS-operated Class 37/4 No. 37425 passes Black (Rockstone) Bridge, Dawlish with service 0Z25, 08.16 Plymouth to Norwich. During its holiday at Laira where it received emergency tyre turning, it looks like its been cleaned and polished.
The first of the 2020 RHTT (Rail Head Treatment Train) season operated from St Blazey to Westbury and return via Salisbury, ran on Wednesday 7 October 2020, with the train formed of EWS maroon-liveried Class 66s Nos. 66151 and 66155 'top and tail' of RHTT vehicles 642031 and 642035. Running as train 3J13 the 08.50 Westbury to St. Blazey via Salisbury and Castle Cary, the train approaches Kennaway Tunnel, Dawlish.
West Midlands Railway CAF-built Class 196s are now starting to appear of testing and staff training runs from Tyseley depot. On 6 October 2020, set No. 196101 is seen calling at Stratford Parkway with train 5Z21, the 08.38 Tyseley - Tyseley via Startford-upon-Avon.
