Went for a different location for the return of the Midland Pullman today 29 May 2021, due to the huge numbers at Cockwood, photographing a mud flat. Led by 43046 with No. 43055 on the rear, 1Z62 the 16.00 Penzance to Eastleigh passes the hamlet of Eastdon between Dawlish Warren and Cockwood.
The first run of the LSL Midland (Blue) Pullman in the west Country was on 29 June 2021. 43055 with 43046 on the rear and vehicles 41176, 41108, 40802, 41162, 41059, 41182, 40801, 41169 and 44078 head westbound through Totnes with train 1Z60, the 06.00 Eastleigh to Penzance 'Cornish Coastal Pullman'.

Some good things have emerged from the grounding of a number of IETs, for example this amazing stock move from LSL Crewe to Laira. 37688 crosses Cockwood Harbour on 10 May 2021 with train 5Z37, 12.45 Crewe LSL to Laira depot formed of barrier 9479 and ex EMR now LSL Mk3 HST cars 41117, 44047, 42100, 42220 and 41063. Hopefully soon in service with GWR.
Well! That was about the finest departure from Kennaway Tunnel I've ever seen, FULL thrash, horns and smoke. 37688 running as 0Z37 20.00 Laira to Crewe LSL, storms towards Dawlish station after delivering a LSL HST rake to Laira. Full credit to the man on the handle. Sorry about crap pic/light.

In about the worst light I've been out in for months, the 2021 season weed control train was out in Devon tonight, 4 May 2021. Running as 3Z15 it was formed 66135, DR98957, DR97907 and 66140 working the 19.15 Exeter Riverside to Exeter Riverside via Plymouth Friary. Taken at Cockwood Harbour.
