Class 484 Vivarail D-Stock

In July 2021 daytime staff training and testing runs were operated between Eastleigh and Fareham for the new Class 484, former London Underground D Stock, rebuilt by Vivarail for the Isle of Wight. In July two sets Nos. 484001 and 484004 were on the Island based at Ryde and being used for tests, while sets No. 484002, 484003 and 484005 were at Eastleigh, of these Nos. 484002 and 484003 were being operated on the main line. The sets being operated on the mainland are not complete many details are still to finish such as branding and touching up of the paintwork.
