Well, firstly today we had the luxury 2+2 short set demonstrated, with first class and a kitchen, now we demonstrate the economy version, 2 power cars and one sliding door TS. 43189, 48113 and 43016 pass Dawlish on 18 June 2019 forming train 5Z21, 12.55 Bristol SPM - Laira. Note the drilling rig on the sea wall, hopefully they might find oil, the town could do with the cash.
Never get that many Colas 66s on the Sea Wall and when you do its usually at night. On 18 June 2019, No. 66848 emerges from Kennaway Tunnel, Dawlish with train 6C98, 05.05 Par to Westbury an empty rail delivery train.
Now this would be a great formation to have as a personal train. two power cars, a first class coach and a kitchen! On 18 June 2019 5Z74 06.42 Laira to Bristol SPM formed of 43016, 41160, 4092 and 43189 head towards Dawlish station from Lea Mount. Note Dawlish summer weather.

Work is sort of getting underway on the Kings Walk destruction in Dawlish. Most of the large plant is now arriving by sea, on 14 June 2019, MTS Terramare arrived with a couple of items and is seen pulling away before returning to the Port of Teignmouth just as Class 150/2 No. 150243 passes forming 2T21 15.24 Exmouth to Paignton. Rare to get 'largish; boats this close into Dawlish.

Could not be arsed to go out for a LNER loco in GW territory, so took it from the window. A4 60009 Union of South Africa heads towards Kennaway Tunnel, Dawlish on 8 June 2019 with train 1Z78, the 06.59 Guildford to Kingswear, the steam being put on at Bristol Temple Meads.

During the early evening of 2 June 2019, GBRf Class 47s Nos. 47749 City of Truro in Rail Blue with GBRf branding and 47727 in Caledonian Sleeper teal green head a single barrier coach through Dawlish station as 5Z47, 14.47 Reading depot to Laira depot for a stock movement to Long Marston on 3 June. After a day of dull light and even rain, the sun light arrived just when needed.

One of the few times that the VSOE/Belmond Pullman has visited the west and the sun comes out to play. Last but one day of the Kings Walk being open before work starts on Monday.
